Adventure Stress Relief – Get Outside Before Finals

Join the BC Wellness Center for adventure events that will leave you calm and ready for finals. Events include wilderness trail ride (bike provided), canoe tour, and art hike.

BC Wellness Center events are open to all current credit students. All adventures are $5 (fee includes all equipment and instruction). Make a choice to support your health and wellness – our Wellness Community is here to help facilitate!

Wilderness trail bike ride
Monday, June 6 (3:30-8 p.m.) CCC Trail SE Middle Fork
Join us for a bike ride in the middle fork valley. Explore a unique outdoor experience in a wilderness setting that you may not know of. Great first mountain bike experience on a well-traveled trail. Suitable for all levels, basic bike riding knowledge needed, no mountain bike experience required.
No need to bring any equipment as a bike and helmet can be provided!

ART Hike – Outdoor Inspiration for Art Creation
Tuesday June 7 (2:45-8 p.m.) Poo-Poo Point/Chirico Trail
A group guided hiking up to Poo-Poo Point along the Chirico trail. At the summit we will provide art supplies and canvas to create a master piece to document your experience with great views as inspiration. No hiking or art experience required, come to learn more about local trails and try your hand at outdoor canvas art. Poo Poo Point/Chirico Trail is a moderately difficult hike, 3.8 miles and 1,760 ft. elevation gain.
All paint supplies provided.

Canoe Adventure
Wednesday June 8 (4:15-7:30 p.m.)
Join the BC Wellness Center for an introduction to canoeing on Lake Washington. No prior experience required, all instruction and equipment will be provided. We will provide education on basic paddling techniques and head out on a guided tour of Marsh and Foster Islands. Great learning experience to be repeated on your own all summer long!
Canoe and PFD rentals included.
