Neiwert is an award-winning journalist and author whose work often explores extremism, democracy, and civil rights. His book “Strawberry Days: How Internment Destroyed a Japanese-American Community” focuses on the local effects of incarceration during World War II and its lasting consequences.
This lecture will provide historical context and examine how the legacy of incarceration continues to shape communities today. Faculty, staff, and students are encouraged to attend in person or online.
