Nursing Program to Host Mass Casualty Incident Simulation

It’s that time of year again. On Friday, March 20, from 8 AM–5 PM, the Bellevue College Nursing Program will host its annual mass casualty incident (MCI) simulation for nursing students.

The simulation creates a realistic emergency response environment using actors, real police officers, and cinematic special effects. Students will apply emergency room trauma management skills in a high-intensity training scenario designed to prepare them for real-world situations.

The event will also include Stop the Bleed training led by the King County Sheriff’s Office. This hands-on training helps strengthen students’ life-saving skills while reinforcing teamwork and practical experience. Through this immersive educational experience, future health care professionals will gain valuable preparation for providing quality patient care.

Please note that police vehicles will be present on campus during the simulation. All participants and activities will be limited to the third floor of the HSEWI T Building.
