When: First Wednesday of every month
Time: 11 AM-2 PM
Location: T Building, Room 205 (HPM Hub)

High blood pressure often has no symptoms, which is why it is sometimes called the “silent” issue. A quick check can help you catch changes early and take simple steps to stay on track.

Life on campus can include factors that affect blood pressure, such as stress, changes in sleep, caffeine or energy drinks, eating patterns, alcohol or nicotine use, family history, certain medications and limited time for movement. For many people, this combination can increase risk without them realizing it.

The college encourages students and employees to have their blood pressure checked at least twice a year. Early awareness is one of the most effective ways to keep blood pressure under control.
