Register Your Courses for Making Learning Visible

Register your class to present at the RISE Learning Institute’s Making Learning Visible, which will take place March 18-19.

More Information:

Making Learning Visible is a two-day event that will take place March 18-19 in the U Building. Register by March 4.

Not familiar with Making Learning Visible?
Making Learning Visible is like a mini-conference or science fair. Classes gather and then present the projects that they’ve worked on this quarter to other students, faculty, administrators, and guests, such as family members.

Typically, students create posters and stand at easels or sit at tables and demo things that they’ve created. However, there are also art projects, zines, and even musical performances.
Classes come in during their regular class time and then leave when their class ends, so there’s always new stuff to be seen, and the event happens when students are already and usually on campus.
In the past, students in Biology, Anatomy, Political Science, English, Computer Science, AI, XR/VR (Extended Reality/Virtual Reality), Music, Art, Business, and Dance classes (among others) have participated.

Why should your students participate in MLV?

  • They can put on their resumes that they’ve presented at a campus-wide event
  • Students get to show off a project that they’ve worked on this whole quarter! People really are interested in seeing what they’ve done.
  • Network – you never know who might be asking you questions about your project
  • Students can see what other students in their class or other classes have done this past quarter
  • Students feel like they’re part of a larger learning community
