Outreach Highlights: A Year of Impact and Collaboration
We’re pleased to share recent highlights from the Bellevue College Outreach Department as we continue working to connect our community to the resources, programs, and opportunities available at the college.
Record-Breaking Discovery Day
This spring’s Discovery Day welcomed more than 750 guests—our highest attendance yet. Thanks to a strong, collegewide effort, the event featured engaging presentations and warm, informative interactions that showcased our programs, people, and campus spirit.
Strengthening School Partnerships
-
Sammamish High School’s healthcare class participated in an interactive lab and campus tour in partnership with the Health Sciences, Education, and Wellness Institute (HSEWI). This visit helped launch an ongoing collaboration with the Bellevue School District.
-
An application workshop at Newport High School drew strong participation from students and their families as they explored dual-credit options and campus support services.
Connecting with the Community through Workforce Education
Our team continues to serve adult learners through community-based outreach, including:
-
In-person events at DSHS and the Redmond Library
-
A virtual session with the King County Housing Authority
These efforts help prospective students access Workforce Education funding and find a path back to school.
We are proud of the momentum we’re building and deeply grateful for the cross-campus collaboration that makes this work possible.
If you or your department would like to get involved in future outreach or recruitment efforts, we welcome your partnership.
Let’s continue building together.
