Chemistry instructor Grady Blacken will talk about a project in his CHEM& 162 course that builds essential research skills through designing and testing bio fuels. Students learn about thermodynamics while also learning from iteration, appreciating the benefits of failure, and working in a team. Grady will talk about the project, including the benefits and challenges of utilizing authentic research in his course. He will present some student work.
