Bellevue College Unions Host “Blood in the Machine” Book Club
Join Bellevue College faculty and classified staff for a quarter-long discussion of “Blood in the Machine: The Origins of the Rebellion Against Big Tech” by Brian Merchant.
The book club will be facilitated by faculty and staff with backgrounds in labor organizing. Together, participants will explore labor history and consider what the rise of artificial intelligence means for workers today.
When: 11:30 AM-1 PM on five Tuesdays: Sept. 29; Oct. 6 and 20; and Nov. 3 and 17
Where: House 1
Bring your lunch and join the conversation. Registration is encouraged for participants who would like to receive the schedule of discussion chapters, but drop-ins are welcome.
