Staff Accessibility Office Hours: Accessibility for Social Media

Something special is happening at Staff Accessibility Office Hours this Wednesday, Aug. 19, from 12:30-2:30 PM via Teams.

Join guest presenters Raechel Dawson, associate director of communications, and Steph McCarty, social media manager with Institutional Advancement, for a session on Accessibility for Social Media. They will share practical guidance for making social media content more accessible, from adding alt text to images to captioning video posts. These simple practices can make a meaningful difference for everyone in your audience.

If you manage or post to a Bellevue College social media account, share content on behalf of your department or want to learn how to make your posts more accessible, this session is for you.

The presentation and Q&A will take place from 12:30-1:30 PM. No appointment is needed. Stay for the full two hours for additional open accessibility support.

This is one of the final two themed sessions of the summer. We hope to see you before Staff Accessibility Office Hours wrap up Aug. 26.
