More Information:

Plain Language and Writing for All Readers

Join Bellevue College Staff Accessibility Office Hours from 12:30-2:30 PM Wednesday, Aug. 12, via Microsoft Teams for a special session on plain language and writing for all readers.

Raechel Dawson, associate director of Communications, and Sara Gardner, program specialist with Neurodiversity Navigators, will share practical guidance for making your writing clearer and more accessible to a broad college audience.

Whether you write announcements, instructions, emails, or department communications, plain-language principles can make a meaningful difference for your readers. This session is for anyone who has received feedback that their writing was difficult to follow, wondered how to make communications work for more people, or simply wants to write more clearly.

The presentation and question-and-answer session will run from 12:30-1:30 PM. Participants may stay until 2:30 PM for open accessibility support. No appointment is needed.
