Pest Notice: Spring Awareness and Prevention
Bellevue College reminds the campus community that spring pest season is underway. As temperatures rise, common pests become more active during the day and seek shelter indoors at night, increasing the likelihood of entry into campus buildings.
Common Pests to Watch For
- Hornets and paper wasps
- Ants
- Rats and mice
Campus Operations actively monitors and manages pest activity daily. The college also partners with an external pest control provider on a bimonthly basis to address problem areas.
How You Can Help Prevent Pest Activity
To minimize pest issues, reduce pesticide use, and support a safe campus environment, please:
- Close windows at the end of the workday
- Remove all food and drinks from offices
- Use designated kitchens and breakrooms for eating
Your cooperation helps maintain a clean, safe, and pest-free campus for everyone.
