Earth Month Events Continue at Bellevue College
Bellevue College invites the campus community to continue celebrating Earth Month with a full week of events focused on sustainability, wellness, and environmental action. From educational talks to hands-on activities, there are many opportunities to get involved and make an impact.
Monday, April 20
- Target 2030: How to Reach BC’s Emissions Targets — Learn how the college plans to achieve a 60 percent greenhouse gas reduction by 2030.
- Yin Yoga with Rachel Lowe — Enjoy a gentle, beginner-friendly yoga session focused on movement and body awareness.
Tuesday, April 21
- History and the Present-Day Environmental Movement — Explore the evolution of environmental advocacy and its impact today.
- Battery Talk with Group14 Technologies — Discover how advancements in battery technology are supporting electric vehicles, consumer electronics, and emerging AI-enabled devices.
Wednesday, April 22
- Zero Waste Fair — Participate in sustainable activities, including:
- Clothing Swap (free thrift items; donations welcome if clean and in good condition)
- Refill Station (bring reusable containers for free cleaning products such as hand soap, shampoo, and laundry detergent)
- Waste Free BC Market
Thursday, April 23
- Public Transit/Line 2 Orientation with Hopelink — Take a guided trip using public transit, including a short walk to the Eastgate Park and Ride and a return bus ride to campus. Participants will receive a free preloaded ORCA card (a $11 value).
