The Council for Inclusion and Diversity works to ensure recruitment and retention of a diverse student body and to reduce disparate achievement outcomes. The council also promotes the recruitment and retention of a diverse workforce with equitable professional opportunities.
The CID makes recommendations to the President’s Office, College Assembly and other councils, as appropriate, and encourages cross-campus communication, coordination and collaboration. The council provides a framework to advance the college’s commitment to diversity within BC Governance and is supported by the Office of Equity and Pluralism and Human Resources.
