More Information:

The Japanese Culture Exchange Club is pleased to invite you to a motivational talk by Mr. Shinji Maeda on Wednesday, January 21, from 3:30–4:30 PM in Building T, Room 121.

Mr. Maeda will deliver a speech titled, “I’M POSSIBLE: There Is Nothing Impossible.” The speaker’s dream of becoming a pilot seemed to disappear when he lost sight in one eye following an automobile accident in Japan at the age of 18. However, after learning that he could still pursue his dream in the United States, he became a student at Bellevue College, improved his English, and enrolled in an aviation school.

Today, Mr. Maeda is a flight instructor and has recently completed a solo flight around the world in a single-engine plane. Through his story, he assures students that setbacks are not the end of the journey. With courage and perseverance, dreams can still be achieved — turning “impossible” into “I’m possible.”

Join us and gain inspiration and energy from Mr. Maeda’s powerful motivational speech!

Date: Wednesday, Jan. 21
Time: 3:30-4:30pm
Room: T121
Speech: “I’M POSSIBLE: There Is Nothing Impossible”
