Campus Book Discussion for We Hereby Refuse

Join a campus-wide discussion of We Hereby Refuse, the King County Library System’s One Bellevue, One Book selection. This event takes place two days before Bellevue College alumnus Ross Ishikawa, one of the book’s illustrators, visits campus for a special presentation.

Join the Campus-Wide Discussion of We Hereby Refuse

Copies of We Hereby Refuse are available at the Bellevue College Library and through local public libraries.

The campus-wide book discussion will take place Monday, July 29, from 1–2:30 PM in the Collaboratory on the first floor of the library. This will be an opportunity to reflect on the graphic novel’s themes, format, and storytelling, and to share thoughts, feelings, and perspectives.

Illustrator Ross Ishikawa to Speak on Campus

On Wednesday, July 31, from 2–4 PM in N201, Bellevue College alumnus Ross Ishikawa, one of the book’s illustrators, will visit campus to speak about his research into Japanese American incarceration and the process of illustrating a historical graphic novel.

This event is part of the King County Library System’s One Bellevue, One Book program and is supported by the Alumni Relations department and the Bellevue College Library.
