Celebrate Student Success Day by joining Bellevue College astronomy faculty for a special Planetarium Open House and Rubin Observatory First Look Watch Party. Be part of a global event marking the release of the first images from the Vera C. Rubin Observatory—home to the largest astronomical camera ever built.

The event will begin with a fulldome livestream from 8:00–9:00AM, showcasing the observatory’s groundbreaking images. Faculty-led planetarium presentations and in-depth discussions will follow, along with full-dome screenings about the science and discoveries expected from this revolutionary observatory.

The Rubin Observatory will collect more astronomical data in its first year than all other telescopes combined since the start of the digital age—don’t miss your chance to witness its debut.

Come and go as you please—no tickets or RSVP needed.
