Performances run through June 7 in Carlson Theatre

Bellevue College’s Theatre Arts program invites the campus community and the public to its spring production of Chicago, the classic musical set in the roaring 1920s. With a book by Fred Ebb and Bob Fosse, music by John Kander, and lyrics by Fred Ebb, Chicago is directed by Bradetta Vines, with music direction by Aimee Hong and choreography by Jenna Spinei.

In this satirical look at fame, fortune, and justice, Roxie Hart finds herself on death row after murdering a faithless lover. She soon joins forces with fellow “Merry Murderess” Velma Kelly in a quest for celebrity and acquittal. The production features Fosse-inspired staging and a dazzling score.

Please note: The performance includes gunshot sound effects.
