Umoja Scholars Program and VCBynum Arts and Education are hosting the Sawubona Festival at Bellevue College from Noon to 4 PM on Saturday, May 17, in U301.

Sawubona is a beautiful Zulu phrase that translates to “I see you!” Let’s acknowledge each other’s humanity while promoting unity.
VCBynum Arts and Education, in collaboration with Umoja Scholars Program and African Americans Reach and Teach Health (AARTH), invite you to the Sawubona Festival from Noon to 4 PM on Saturday, May 17, in U301. This day of celebration will feature live performances of dance, music, and poetry, a children’s corner, vendors, and more. The Sawubona Festival is a part of the City of Bellevue’s Cross-Cultural Center without Walls. The festival is free to attend, and all are welcome.
