May is Mental Health Awareness Month – Join the Events at Bellevue College
Bellevue College is recognizing Mental Health Awareness Month with a series of events to support well-being, reduce stress, and build community. All students, faculty, and staff are welcome to participate.
Gratitude Garden
Location: U201
Date: All May
Stop by throughout the month to “plant” a gratitude flower on the Counseling Center’s garden wall and reflect on what you’re thankful for.
Midterm Destress with Therapy Dogs
Location: D126 (BC Library)
Date: Tuesday, May 13
Time: Noon–2:00 PM (therapy dogs from 1:00–2:00 PM)
Join us for art, light therapy, and mindfulness activities designed to help you unwind during midterms. Therapy dogs will be available in collaboration with the Bellevue College Library.
Activities include:

Meet a Counselor: Drop-in support available in Vietnamese and English
Grab a Take-5 Bag

Time: 10:00 AM–noon
Pick up a bag filled with fidget toys, affirmations, and wellness tools to help you take a moment for yourself. Available while supplies last.
Mindful Activities

Time: 10:00 AM–noon
Drop in for calming mindfulness activities before finals. No registration required.
