About the Author
Kiku Hughes is a Japanese American (Yonsei) cartoonist from the Seattle area. Her debut graphic novel, “Displacement” (First Second, 2020), received an APALA Literature Award honor and was nominated for an Eisner Award. Her work explores themes of identity, queer romance, soft science fiction, and anti-capitalist futures.

Nina Nobuko Wallace is the Media and Outreach Manager at Densho, an online archive and public history organization dedicated to preserving and sharing the stories of Japanese Americans incarcerated during World War II.
