The W Building project continues to progress with demolition of the current greenhouse planned over the month of May. The north wing of the C building will be demolished to structural elements this spring and summer.

The W Building project continues to move forward with demolition work scheduled throughout the spring and summer.
In May, the current greenhouse will be removed to make way for construction. In addition, the north wing of the C Building will be demolished down to its structural elements. As part of this work, a small number of trees within the construction zone will need to be removed to allow for safe demolition and expansion of the building footprint.
The building and landscaping have been designed to retain as many existing trees as possible. However, trees next to the current greenhouse and one tree near the walkway entrance from Lot D1 will be removed. These trees will be repurposed as nurse logs or mulch for garden beds across campus. After construction is complete, climate-adapted trees will be planted in the surrounding landscape to replace those removed.
