Celebrate International Education Week at Bellevue College!
Dates: Nov. 18–21, 2024
Location: C-130 A&B in the Cafeteria
Times: Activities primarily between 11:30 AM and 3 PM
Bellevue College invites you to join us for International Education Week (IEW), a national initiative by the U.S. Departments of State and Education aimed at fostering global understanding and connections. Enjoy a lineup of engaging activities, cultural experiences, and valuable workshops that celebrate diversity and global learning. Events will include food tastings, seminars, workshops, and more—all led by student groups and supported by International Education.
IEW Schedule of Events
Here’s a day-by-day overview of what to expect:
Day 1: Monday, Nov. 18
11:00–11:30 AM: Kickoff Parade
11:30–11:40 AM: Opening Speech
11:45 AM–1:30 PM: Food samplings (while supplies last), cultural games hosted by various student groups
1:30–2:00 PM: Screening of “Celebrating Traditions” for Native American Heritage Month
Day 2: Tuesday, Nov. 19
11:30 – 12:20 PM: Food samplings (while supplies last), tea tasting, and trivia
12:30–1:20 PM: Student presentation on “Transferring to UW Bothell”; Writing Lab workshop: “How to Write a Personal Statement”
1:30–3:00 PM: UW Seattle International Transfer Admission Seminar with UW Int’l Admission Officer
Day 3: Wednesday, Nov. 20
11:30 –12:20 PM: Food sampling (while supplies last), Student Panel on “How to Find an On-Campus Job”
12:30–1:20 PM: Info session on “Optional Practical Training (OPT) for F-1 Visa Students”
Day 4: Thursday, Nov. 21 (Final Day)
12:30 -1:20 PM: In-Person Info session on the 2025 Summer Study Abroad program in France
1:30–2:20 PM: Virtual Info Session for the WCCCSA Study Abroad Program (Zoom link Meeting ID: 844 3527 0619)
4:30–6:30 PM: IEW Closing Harvest Dinner in the main cafeteria (Sign-up is required via MS Forms. Spaces are limited.)
