A series of workshops designed to enhance your involvement in BC Governance. These sessions will cover everything from the basics of governance to more advanced topics, promising engaging discussions and activities to help you make a positive impact on our community.
Workshop Topics
Introductory Series
- September 27: BC Governance (BCG) history, purpose, framework, and best practices.
- October 11: Who’s Who in governance and how to get things done.
- October 25: Proposals and the 4 P’s: Practice, Proposal, Policy, Procedure.
- November 8: Using resources: VPs, alumni, constituencies.
- November 22: Look Ahead 2025: Make governance a win-win for employees, students, and Bellevue College.
Intermediate Series
- September 27: Planning, stepping up, & delegating.
- October 11: Goals, meetings, resources & remedies.
- October 25: Committee, constituency, community input, and impact.
- November 8: Emerging leaders and promoting council teamwork.
- November 22: Officer support (cross-council) and recruitment; look ahead to 2025.
Hybrid Format and Registration
