September 2024 Employee Assistance Program (EAP)

The Washington State Employee Assistance Program (EAP) is a free, confidential program created to promote the health, safety, and well-being of public service employees.

As we enter September, the Employee Assistance Program (EAP) shares the following resources to support employee, family, and workplace well-being.

This Month’s Featured Resources:

Information about EAP events and webinars, including expanded *live* offerings. EAP is continuing their live “Wellness Wednesdays” series, every Wednesday at noon through September. In September, the theme is “Resilience in Action: Strategies for Overcoming Challenges and Managing Stress.”

• Resources to support everyone at home and at work: In recognition of National Suicide Prevention Month, EAP is offering additional resources in September, along with the back-to-school support they first shared in August (see previous BC FYI post).

Support for Supervisors

EAP provides short-term, solution-focused counseling services that are easy to access. Your benefit includes up to three sessions per concern and covers all household adults. EAP can also be used multiple times yearly for new concerns, such as:

• Workplace concerns
• Grief and loss
• Interpersonal conflicts
• Addiction and recovery
• Anxiety, depression, or trauma
• Stress management
• Mental wellness
• Parenting or eldercare support
