More Information:
Our students and community are experiencing increased rates of anxiety, depression, and other mental health concerns, exacerbated by the ongoing pandemic. This 1-day, 6-hour introductory workshop aims to equip faculty with the tools and knowledge to support those in need.
Workshop Highlights:
- Greater awareness of the impact of mental health, including recognizing signs and symptoms of emotional distress, crisis, or suicidal tendencies.
- Increased self-confidence in providing support to individuals in emotional distress or crisis.
- Understanding the signs and symptoms of secondary/vicarious trauma.
- Skills for setting boundaries.
- Development of a self-care plan of action.
