Take a deep dive into Filipino/a/x American culture, starting with the cuisine and geography of the Philippines. Meets in person in the Faculty Commons.

Join us to learn about colonialism and global influences on Philippine identity, indigeneity, and nationalism. Dive into the history of Filipino migration to the United States and globally through a discussion on “Filipinos: Forgotten Asian Americans” (Cordova 1983). Additionally, discover significant local places, people, platforms, and events pertinent to the Filipino American community in Washington state (Andresen 2024).
