Climate Justice Book Discussion

Join us for a thought-provoking discussion of non-violent vs. violent means of achieving policy changes and global commitment to addressing the damaging effects of climate change as we read the book, “How to Blow Up a Pipeline.”

More Information:

David Spataro will lead a reading of the book “How to Blow Up a Pipeline: Learning to Fight in a World on Fire” by Andreas Malm.

From the publisher’s site: “The science on climate change has been clear for a very long time now. Yet despite decades of appeals, mass street protests, petition campaigns, and peaceful demonstrations, we are still facing a booming fossil fuel industry, rising seas, rising emission levels, and a rising temperature. With the stakes so high, why haven’t we moved beyond peaceful protest?”

Meetings will be held over Zoom from 11:30-12:30 every other Friday: April 12, 26, May 10, 24, and June 7. It is not too late to join, even if you missed the first meeting!
