Waking from hibernation in the Spring, Frog and Toad greet the spring, swim, rake leaves, go sledding, and learn life lessons along the way as they spend a year together. The two best friends celebrate and rejoice in the differences that make them unique and special. “A Year with Frog and Toad” tells the story of a friendship that endures throughout the seasons. This special one-hour TYA Theatre for a Young Audience production is aimed for 3-10-year-olds though the entire family will enjoy this lively musical.

Bellevue College Theatre Arts is thrilled to offer a Sensory Sensitive performance of A Year with Frog and Toad incorporating accommodations for people with sensory needs. This performance is supported by the Bellevue College Foundation.

Our Sensory Sensitive Performance features accommodations to support audience members with sensory needs, including:

Changes to the performance:

  • Increased lighting in the seating area and house throughout the performance.
  • Lower sound levels.
  • Lowered seating capacities to allow for more space and movement between patrons.

Relaxed theatre rules:

  • Use of tablets, smartphones, and other electronic devices can be used with headphones during the performance.
  • Options to bring in and use special seating devices as needed.
  • Fidgets welcome.
  • Food and drink are welcome.

Support for audience members:

Additional trained staff on hand to provide patrons with assistance when needed.
Refunds for tickets and cancellations made on the day of the show are options if necessary.

A sensory-based audience guide will be emailed out to ticket holders for audience members to prepare before their show. Additional printed copies will be on hand on the day of the performance.
