Equity Reads: “Disability Visibility” Book Club

Join us for the newest book club from the Library’s Equity Reads collection. Disability Visibility is a collection of short stories from people with varying life experiences, perspectives, and disabilities.

More Information:

These stories are about people, living their lives and sharing their experiences from their point of view, maybe not expecting to change the world but instead, to have their voices heard and listened to on their terms.

Each story is unique and powerful on its own just as every writer within the pages is unique and powerful as an individual. It is the way the individual stories connect and pull together that take these stories and add action to the audience.

Alice Wong ingeniously edited and organized the book in a way where there is a seamless progression through the Being, the Becoming, the Doing and the Connecting.
