o The Achievement Gap versus the Educational Debt: A Legacy of Educational Inequity – Over the past several years, there has been a growing, concerted effort across the nation to abandon Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion efforts, ban books, and forbid the telling of Black history, Black resistance, and Black persistence. Despite the saturation of these efforts in our national and local discourse, we must continue to resist these “reversity efforts.” Understanding how U.S. history shaped the present is a powerful tool for building a future where all students can learn and thrive.
