Keynote description:

Native people of the Northwest have been caretakers for the land, the water, and air since time immemorial. There are many Tribes or families that have roles in this caretaking. A tenant of the caretaking is healthy relationships. A long-time system of agreement and respect was necessary to build healthy relationships between tribes. The disruption and removal of these system through the system of colonization, has necessitated the remembering and rebuilding of tribal communities. Washington state has made substantial moves to repair these systems, knowing the importance and contribution of northwest Native tribes. In what ways can we as individuals build healthy relationships?
