Friday – Info Session for the President's Award

The President’s Award for Innovation & Equity, an opportunity to receive funding to infuse new teaching practices into your course, is offering its first Information Session for its 2023-2024 funding year. Join us to learn more and even pitch ideas!

Join us at any time on Friday to learn more about the President’s Award, and perhaps even come with some ideas. If you cannot attend this info session, there will be two more before the May 19 application deadline:

• Thursday, April 27, 12:30-1:30 p.m.
• Monday, May 8, 2-3 p.m.

The President’s Award for Innovation & Equity – funded by the Office of the President and administered by the RISE Learning Institute – supports teams of faculty as they infuse a high-impact practice into all or most sections of a course (or a sequence of courses) that reaches over 300 BC students per year. The specific high-impact practices are:

• Career Exploration
• Collaborative Assignments & Project-Based Learning
• Community-Engaged Learning
• Learning Communities
• Undergraduate Research

Awards are up to $25,000 for project teams, and go towards faculty time, efforts, and development. One or more projects may be funded up to that total of $25,000, as determined by a review committee.

Proposals must be submitted by Friday, May 19. Application guidelines are on the RISE website.
