The position of Student Trustee on the BC Board of Trustees is open for applications. Gov. Inslee chooses and installs a new Student Trustee from a list of up to five BC candidates.
Student Trustees serve an important role in institutions by providing a student voice and perspective to the Board. BC is one of just two community and technical colleges in Washington State with a Student Trustee position.
The Bellevue community is just one of the Student Trustee responsibilities and engagement opportunities. The student should attend monthly BC Board of Trustees meetings, and retreats, and receive training, and opportunities for paid travel, professional development, networking, and professional connections.
Attendance at Board meetings is rewarded for the Student Trustee, and he or she may be eligible for the $2,000 Merle S. Landerholm Scholarship.
