BC Leadership Institute and Umoja Scholars Program invite students to attend “Black Hockey History Night” at Climate Pledge Arena on Saturday, Feb. 18, 2023. The Seattle Kraken will compete against Detroit Red Wings.
The purpose of “Black Hockey History Night” is to acknowledge Black achievements in the sport and initiatives to make hockey more inclusive. The Kraken has made it a top priority since the team’s inception to celebrate diversity and inclusion.
Attendees will depart from BC at 6:00pm. The game starts at 7:30pm. Roundtrip transportation will be provided to and from Climate Pledge Arena, but attendees are responsible for paying for concessions and souvenirs.
Tickets are limited, so register fast. Registration deadline is Feb. 6, 2023.
