Join the RISE Learning Institute’s Bags to Bedrolls Project – upscaling plastic bags into bedrolls for those experiencing homelessness – May 18, 25, June 1, 8. and 15 (1 -2 p.m.) in B237. No experience needed. Take some time to focus on you … and help make a change.
More Information:
The RISE Learning Institute, the RISE MakerSpace, the Office of Sustainability, and the Phi Theta Kappa Honor’s Society are partnering on the ongoing Bags to Bedrolls project, which convert plastic bags into bedrolls that help those living on the streets or in tents.
Join us for the remaining Wednesdays in spring, May 18, 25, June 1, 8. and 15 (1 -2 p.m.) in the RISE MakerSpace (B237), to learn to make plarn (plastic yarn) and/or crochet that plarn into the mats.
No previous experience necessary. All that’s needed is an interest in using crafts to make a change. This is also a great way to reduce stress.
Reach out to Sapan Parekh with any questions.
