The Watchdog, BC’s Student Newspaper is looking for a copy editor! We are looking for a student who is a strong proof-reader with great attention to detail.
More Information:
The Watchdog Copy Editor needs to be able to:
– Attend our mandatory remote meetings at 2:30 on Mondays. The meetings last from 20 min. to an hour.
– Is available for a maximum of 5 hours of remote copy editing (proof-reading) Wednesdays through
Sundays, with most of the work taking place Wed., Thur. and Fri. afternoons and evenings.
– Is flexible and responsive – we work on tight deadlines.
– Has strong written English skills.
– Is legally able to work in the U.S.
– Is available to work during Summer Quarter and will be attending BC next fall.
– Is primarily interested in copy editing vs. reporting/writing, at least for one quarter.
The Watchdog student staff does not work the week before finals. Working during breaks between quarters is optional.
If you want to work with a great group of students but like being “behind the scenes” a bit, this may be the job for you!
