Exempt Staff Needed for Student Success Council

At-large exempt staff member needed to fill vacancy on Student Success Council. The term will expire at the end of Spring Quarter 2023.

More Information:

Student Success Council is in need of a new at-large Exempt Staff member as the previous person has moved on from Bellevue College. This is an excellent opportunity to take part in college governance. If you supervise exempt staff members, please encourage them and allow them time to participate with this council. Student success is all of our business no matter where you work on campus.

“The Student Success Council (SSC) will consider matters related to the provision of instruction and student services, including, but not limited to, educational planning and advising, student transitions, instructional technology, and equitable opportunities. The SSC will make recommendations to the College Assembly or other councils, as appropriate, for further consideration and action. Its membership consists of sixteen members and three nonvoting resource liaisons.

Meeting Frequency:
The Student Success Council meetings are generally held the second and fourth Wednesday of the month from 2:45–4:15 p.m. Virtual Links (via Teams) are included in Agendas.

The term for the current opening runs through Spring Quarter 2023. Please contact Exempt Council Chair Jorja Gunderson via email at exempt-council-chair@bellevuecollege.edu if you are interested in participating on this functional council to improve BC Student Success. If several people express interest, Exempt Council will vote to fill the vacancy at the Tuesday, Mar. 8 meeting.
