BC Library (D126) currently features Japanese American incarceration during WWII, African American authors, friendships, and banned or challenged books.

To support next week’s Day of Remembrance guest speaker, Frank Abe, BC Library (D126) staff created a pop-up window display of books about the experience of Japanese Americans during WWII, from distinguished military service to forced incarceration in American concentration camps. Come in and browse these books, including George Takei’s memoir in graphic novel format.
Check out the African American authors display as you walk into the library, as well as countertop displays of paperback books and graphic novels about the Black experience. Everything on display can be checked out until the end of the quarter.
Other displays are graphic novels on friendship and a countertop display of graphic novels that have been banned or challenged elsewhere. Read whatever you want. If BC Library doesn’t have it, we may be able to borrow it for you through interlibrary loan.
