ABE New Student Orientation lasts for 1 week and has 4 parts: 1. Meet ON CAMPUS on the scheduled days and times to learn about ABE and complete placement testing, including a writing sample and ABE CASAS Reading test (different from the ESL CASAS Reading test you may have done previously). 2. On the first day of your orientation week, the ABE Orientation course will appear in CANVAS. Please sign in to Canvas each day of the orientation week to work on online assignments. 3. Schedule an appointment for Thursday or Friday of the orientation week to have a one-on-one 20-minute appointment to discuss your class placement. 4. You will register for your Summer Quarter classes during your ABE instructor conference at the end of orientation.
