Please review the information below before submitting the form:
- What is a program of study?
- A program of study (also called a “major”) is the degree or certificate that you plan to work towards while taking classes.
- How do I check what my program of study is?
- You can see what your current program of study is by logging into ctcLink and viewing your Academic Advisement Report.
- What is “selective admissions”?
- “Selective Admissions” refers to programs that require a separate application and have specific criteria for acceptance, such as limited space, prerequisites, or academic requirements. Admission to these programs is not guaranteed. Examples include Nursing AAS-T, Radiologic Technology AAS, and our bachelor’s programs.
- This form is not an application to selective admissions programs. If you are seeking to apply to a selective admissions program, you will need to visit that program’s specific website for their application instructions.
- What does this form do?
- This form is for requesting to change your program of study in ctcLink. The processing time is around 2-3 weeks.
- Once your request has been processed, your Academic Advisement Report will update to reflect the new program. However, other parts of ctcLink may not reflect the change until after the current quarter is over.
- Does submitting this form to change my program of study affect what classes I can enroll in?
- No. CtcLink will allow you to enroll in classes that are outside your program of study, but you will need to ensure that you meet the prerequisites/requirements for the class and that there is space available.
- Does my program of study affect my financial aid eligibility?
- Yes. Not all programs of study are eligible for financial aid. Before requesting to change your program of study, make sure that you confirm with a Financial Aid advisor that your eligibility will not be impacted.
- Do I need to submit this form before applying for graduation?
- No. When you submit your graduation application, you will be asked what degree/certificate you are completing.
