Monday April 18 is the first day of BC’s annual Earth Week!<\/p>\n

9:30 to 10:20 a.m. (Zoom)<\/h3>\n

Join a mini-panel with The Nature Conservancy and Climate Solutions for a conversation about the climate policy, advocacy, and environmental justice work of their respective organizations.<\/p>\n

Pickup a free Native tree to plant outside! All trees are in 1 gallon pots and there is a variety to choose from: shore pines, serviceberries, Oregon oak, and cascara.<\/p>\n

Learn how to make changes in your every day life to help the planet (making non-toxic cleaners, avoiding food waste, composting, and more). Resources, tool kits, and giveaways for the first 40 people.<\/p>\n

Join local changemaker Jamie Stroble for a talk on Environmental Justice and Community-driven Climate Action. Learn about the social inequities of climate change and the innovative collaborative BIPOC-led processes within local government and communities aimed at addressing this issue.<\/p>\n

12:30 to 1:20 p.m. (Zoom)<\/h3>\n

Learn how to move away from avoidance and a doom-and-gloom mindset when thinking about our changing world and the climate crisis by leaning into hope and empowerment by expressing our emotions, talking about the issues, and taking action.<\/p>\n
