Join Meeting (Zoom)<\/a><\/p>\nThe Art and Science of Black Resilience will be presented by our very own Bryan Brown from the Counseling Department.<\/p>\n
Bryan is a first-generation Trinidadian American who was born and raised between West Philadelphia and Trinidad. Growing up between two black cultures cultivated in him a love for the diversity that flows from the African Diaspora as well as a passion for travel and culture. As a trauma-informed psychodynamic therapist, it is this love for culture, diversity, and intersectionality that fuels his work.<\/p>\n
Bryan has spent a number of years consulting for businesses in the hospitality sector, serving in international aid relief, training young adults in community development, and working as a spiritual mentor. His experiences, culture, and education inform this offering he will bring around the art and science of black resilience.<\/p>\n
Bryan believes the way forward is found within the generative relationships that are available to us, our creative impulse, and the integration of our lived experiences.<\/p>\n
