Bellevue College students are invited to participate in Round 1 of the American Mathematical Association of Two-Year Colleges (AMATYC) Student Math League, a national competition that challenges students to solve math problems and compare their performance with students across the country.<\/p>\n<p>Whether you&#8217;re looking for a challenge or simply want to have fun with math, all interested students are encouraged to participate.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Competition Details<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul data-spread=\"false\">\n<li><strong>Date:<\/strong> Wednesday, Nov. 4, 2026<\/li>\n<li><strong>Time and Location:<\/strong> 2:30 PM in N-201 or 3 PM in B-104<\/li>\n<li><strong>Format:<\/strong> 60-minute timed test featuring 20 multiple-choice precalculus questions<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Important Information<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul data-spread=\"false\">\n<li>Students arriving late will not be allowed to participate.<\/li>\n<li>The Bellevue College team score is based on the five highest individual scores, so participating for fun will not negatively affect the team.<\/li>\n<li>Permitted calculators include TI-82, TI-83, TI-84, TI-85, TI-86, TI-89, and TI-Nspire models.<\/li>\n<li>Calculators with QWERTY keyboards, including the TI-92, are not permitted.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Optional Practice Session<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Prepare for the competition by attending an optional practice session.<\/p>\n<ul data-spread=\"false\">\n<li><strong>Time:<\/strong> 1:30-2:30 PM<\/li>\n<li><strong>Date:<\/strong> Wednesday, Oct. 28, 2026<\/li>\n<li><strong>Location:<\/strong> L-211<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>More Information<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.bellevuecollege.edu\/math\/amatyc\/\">Use this link to learn more about the AMATYC Student Math League competition<\/a>.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Put your math skills to the test!
