The college requires employees to complete mandatory training before serving on a screening committee. This requirement applies to hiring managers, program chairs, screening committee chairs, bias mitigation advocates and all committee members.<\/p>\n
Employees must complete both required trainings before participating in the hiring process.<\/p>\n
Recruiting and Selecting Excellence<\/strong><\/p>\n This training provides foundational guidance for conducting fair, impartial and equitable recruitment processes. Participants will review hiring resources and procedures from the Office of Human Resources.<\/p>\n Fall Quarter<\/strong><\/p>\n Winter Quarter<\/strong><\/p>\n Fairness and Equal Opportunity<\/strong><\/p>\n This training focuses on minimizing bias, complying with college policies and applying equitable hiring practices. The session is presented in collaboration with the Office of Community Care and Institutional Transformation and the Office of Human Resources.<\/p>\n Fall Quarter<\/strong><\/p>\n Winter Quarter<\/strong><\/p>\n Use this link to register for required screening committee training<\/a>.<\/p>\n Prerequisite:<\/strong> Completion of both required trainings.<\/p>\n This training prepares participants to recognize and address potential bias during recruitment.
