Required Screening Committee Training for Bellevue College Employees<\/strong><\/p>\n Bellevue College requires all employees serving on screening committees to complete mandatory training. This includes hiring managers, program chairs, screening committee chairs, bias mitigation advocates and all committee members. Employees must complete both required trainings to participate.<\/p>\n Required Trainings<\/strong><\/p>\n Recruiting and Selecting Excellence<\/strong> Fairness and Equal Opportunity<\/strong> Register for required trainings:<\/strong> Bias Mitigation Advocate Training<\/strong> This training prepares participants to recognize and address potential bias during recruitment. Advocates support equitable processes by working closely with the screening committee chair and the Office of Human Resources.<\/p>\n Use this link to register.<\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n How to Register<\/strong><\/a> Participants will receive a calendar invitation with a Microsoft Teams link a few days before the training.<\/p>\n Confirm Training Status<\/strong> Employees who have already completed the required trainings do not need to retake them but may attend again if desired.<\/p>\n
This training provides foundational knowledge for conducting fair, impartial and equitable recruitment processes, along with guidance and resources from the Office of Human Resources.<\/p>\n\n
This session focuses on minimizing bias, ensuring compliance with college policies and applying best practices. It is offered in collaboration with the Office of Community Care and Institutional Transformation and the Office of Human Resources.<\/p>\n\n
