KBCS is a community radio station located on BC’s campus and serving the Bellevue-Seattle Metro. The station will hold its Spring Fund Drive March 20-29th and is looking for volunteers to answer phone calls and record donations from KBCS donors.

Volunteers Needed for KBCS Spring Fund Drive March 20-29<\/strong><\/p>\n

KBCS is seeking students, staff, faculty and community members to help keep nonprofit, independent media strong through volunteer support during its upcoming Spring Fund Drive.<\/p>\n

The drive will take place March 20-29. Volunteers will answer incoming calls from KBCS donors and record donations. No prior experience is required. A brief training will be provided upon arrival.<\/p>\n

Volunteer shifts last two to three hours, and refreshments will be provided.<\/p>\n

About KBCS<\/strong><\/p>\n

KBCS is a community radio station licensed to Bellevue College since 1973. The station is a self-support department of Bellevue College and holds periodic on-air fundraisers to cover operating costs.<\/p>\n

KBCS broadcasts a mix of diverse music and public affairs programming that uplifts voices often excluded from mainstream media. The station can be heard at 91.3 FM throughout the Bellevue-Seattle-Tacoma metro area, streaming 24\/7 at kbcs.fm, or through the KBCS mobile app.<\/p>\n

KBCS operates with a small full-time staff, student employees and more than 30 community volunteers. Community members are encouraged to stop by during the drive for a volunteer shift and learn more about the station and opportunities to get involved.<\/p>\n
