Students can vote for the following categories: Student Employee, Club, Event, Program of the Year, Affinity Coordinator, Club Advisor, Sports Team, Student Athlete, Resident Assistant, Staff Member, and Faculty of the Year.

It’s been a while since we have hosted an ASG Gala and had a “Person of the Year Nomination”. The last one was in 2019, and we are all excited for our Gala that will be held on June 2, from 5:30 p.m. until 10:30 p.m. in the Ballroom in the U Building.<\/p>\n
During the Gala we will also present the “Person of the Year Award”. Students can vote for the following categories: Student Employee of the Year; Club of the Year; Event of the Year; Program of the Year; Affinity Coordinator of the Year; Club Advisor of the Year; Sports Team of the Year; Student Athlete of the Year; Resident Assistant of the Year; Staff Member of the Year; Faculty of the Year.<\/p>\n
There are a few rules:<\/p>\n
1. No campaigning is allowed. If a student, faculty, or staff members campaigns to be voted they will be immediately disqualified. This is supposed to be a spontaneous vote.
\n2. If a student, faculty, staff member presents misleading information they will be immediately disqualified.
\nStudent employee nominees must be a current student employee. ALL current student employees are running for this and can be voted.
\n3. Sorry, but you cannot vote on yourself. We will not count those votes.
\n4. Advisor. This can be confusing because we have admission advisors. academic advisors, and club advisors. On Club advisor of the year, you can put a CLUB Advisor. We will only count those votes. If you want to nominate an academic or admission advisor, they should be nominated as Staff member of the Year.
\n5. If you nominate more than one person, we will only count the first person nominated.<\/p>\n
