1) Flu shots are FREE to those covered by health insurance through employment with the College. However, employers with insurance through Kaiser are not eligible for this event, Kaiser requests that you go directly to their clinic.
2) Bring your health insurance card and a completed flu shot consent form (attached).
3) If you do not have insurance through your employment at BC you can bring evidence of alternate health insurance coverage (the vendor does not accept Cigna or Provider One plans) or pay the $40 fee (cash or check only) and submit to your insurance to be personally reimbursed.
4) There are no appointments, just drop in during the clinic hours and get your flu shot when it’s convenient for you. Plan to wait a few minutes just in case there are others in line.
5) Attire: Try to dress in a way that your upper arm can be exposed for the injection while maintaining your need for modesty and privacy. (i.e., don’t wear a shirt that you have to remove or partially remove in order to expose your upper arm (for instance, a turtleneck), instead wear something like a short sleeve shirt and a sweater or sweatshirt on the day you intend to visit the flu shot clinic.
